Bill Hobbelen
With 20 years experience as the owner operator of Whale Watch Tourist Centre, Bill is a genuine Aussie character with a vast knowledge of Fraser Island, Hervey Bay’s Whale Watch and Lady Elliott Island.
Bill’s passion for the Fraser Coast region and its tourism industry is clear through his heavy involvement in the development of Hervey Bay as an excellent tourist destination for local and international visitors. His innovative vision has been a platform for enhancing tourism and moving Hervey Bay away from the once sleepy fishing village into the new millennium with world class tourist facilities and experiences.
World Heritage Listed Fraser Island is an alluring place to see while visiting Hervey Bay. Having had been the agent for the National Parks for 18 years, Bill has a wealth of knowledge about permits for visitors, tips about rules, regulations and the dingoes plus places to visit on the Island for a most memorable adventure or relaxing stay.
As the proud owner of the award wining Whale Watch Tourist Centre, home of the online booking office of Hervey Bay Tourist Centre, Bill works closely with Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island tours and Lady Elliott Island is one of their key providers of tour bookings. Bill certainly knows how to help you meet your needs in line with your budget and time commitments.
